Presidents Day

Monday February 16

Presidents’ Day is an American holiday celebrated on the third Monday in February. It was first started in 1885 for Gorge Washington and it was called Washington Birthday and it was celebrated February 22. Until it was changed in 1971 and was renamed Presidents Day. The purpose of president’s day is to celebrate all presidents past and present. Some ways we celebrate it is by honoring the presidents or having a celebration in their honor.
