Video Reflection:
The video we learned about a doctor named Doctor Bob in New York. He works in a place that has lots of poverty and the patients cant afford medical care. Since they can't afford insurance or medicine any medical car he pays for it all. He helps out his patients free of charge he pays for their medicine and any other things they might need. For example he also pays for non medical needs like one family couldn't afford to buy gifts for Christmas so he bought their kids a present, also he bought one of his patients a cake for her birthday. All his earnings go straight to his patients and hardly uses it for him self. I think this story is amazing and it's nice to know that there is people like that in the world.

Video Reflection:

Today we watched a video about two softball teams Western Oregon and Central Washington. In the team for Western Oregon there was a player who never made any home runs her name was Sara. Until one day she finally hit the ball to make a home run and she was running and as she was running she messed up her knee so she couldn't move from base and stayed laying on the base. The rules didnt let her team mates pick her up or help her out so two players from the other team Central Washington decided to ask if it was okay to help her out. The two players Mallory and Liz went to Sara and carried her around so that she would touch each base and make it to the last base for a home run. I thought this video was great because it showed true character wen you least expect it. It was very touching because the players from the other team helped out Sara out to make it to home run.

“It’s a great moment when someone has character to step up and do the right thing at the right time.”

-          Pam Knox

I think this statement by Pam Knox is great. I completely agree with this quote because character is the most important trait a person can have. If someone has great character and does right things then they automatically are a great person. For example if someone drops they’re things in the hall way then a person with great character will help them out and pick them up.

“Goodness is the only investment that never fails”

- Henry David Thoreau

Reflection:

I agree with this statement by Henry David Thoreau because it is absolutely true. I agree with this statement because you could never go wrong while doing good. For example if you spend all your earnings with an investment then it will only last you a certain time and sooner or later it will come crashing down and you will regret making that investment. But if you do right it will last with you forever and never let you down.

“My basic principle is that you don’t make decisions because they are easy; you don’t make them because they are cheap; you don’t make them because they’re popular; you make them because they’re right.”

-Theodore Hesburgh

Reflection:

This quote by Theodore Hesburgh is a great statement. I highly agree with Theodore Hesburgh because it’s true that you make decisions based on what you think is right or wrong even though it’s not an easy choice but you always do what’s right. If you are making your decisions based off other people you are taking the easy way out and most of the time it’s the wrong thing to do. That’s why Theodore Hesburgh is trying to tell us to make your decisions wisely and always choose the right thing.

“It is our duty to concentrate all our influence to make popular that which is sound and good, and unpopular that which is unsound (not good).”

-Joseph Smith

Reflection:

I agree with this great quote by Joseph Smith. It is a very true statement because we need to start making things that are bad a thing of the past and make things that are good popular. We only are influenced by bad things and that’s what’s most popular unlike good things. And Joseph Smith wants that to change in this statement.
