 Reflection:

What Thomas S. Monson is trying to say that its not important to be like others or try to compete with them, what really matters is if you think it’s right for you.

                          Allopathic Physician

Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs check-ups to diagnose developing diseases or medical conditions. Interprets the test results in order to determine the patient’s symptoms. Suggests or recommends the treatment methods to patients based on the interpreted results. Counsel patients on preventive, rehabilitative and dietary care based on the interpreted test results. Might have to work for long and irregular hours within his clinic or in a healthcare setting environment like hospitals or healthcare facilities.

Salary:

       An allopathic Physician is expected to earn between $50,868 and $179,500 per annum.

Education:

       A four years Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry or any related field. After four years of college, candidates must complete four years of medical school. A residency program for about 3 to 8 years is necessary. Candidates need to pass a state medical licensing exam before he can enroll himself in the residency program. An exam after the residency program has to be completed by candidates in order to gain certification.


Reflection:

       No I don’t think I would like to be a Allopathic Physician because it doesn’t seem fun to me It just seems really boring.

Reflection;

         This quote is significant because it says that you don’t need money or anything materiel made, all you need is happiness that’s what’s important.

Allergist/ Immunologist

Duties and Responsibilities:

Present research findings at national meetings or in peer-reviewed journals. Engage in self-directed learning and continuing education activities. Document patients' medical histories. Conduct laboratory or clinical research on allergy or immunology topics. Provide allergy or immunology consultation or education to physicians or other health care providers. Prescribe medication such as antihistamines, antibiotics, and nasal, oral, topical, or inhaled glucocorticosteroids.

Salary:

$181,565-$301,581

Education:

4 Years of Undergraduate Study. Minimum of 3 years Medical School. 2 years of Allergy and Immunology Training [8]



Reflection:

          I think I would like to be a Allergist/Immunologist because they make a lot of money and the job doesn’t seem to hard of a task to do all you do is prescribe medication and do check ups.

What Sterling is trying to say is that money isn’t the most important thing in life it’s better to be happy rather than being unhappy. Money can’t buy happiness, the richest man in the world is unsatisfied and stressed while the poor are filled with joy and are happy with what they have.  

Acupuncture


Duties and Responsibilities

As an acupuncturist, you practice traditional Chinese medicine and target specific points on the body with needles. Your professional services are designed to reduce pain and redirect energy flow throughout the mind and body. For each patient, you develop a personalized treatment plan that focuses on the body's overall health. You may also analyze medical histories and treatment outcomes as well as promoting healthy behaviors.

Salary:

$96,890 - $ 121,360

Education:

         Most master's-level acupuncture programs require 3-4 years of study. Eventual licensure in most states is partially dependent on the completion of an acupuncture training program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, so it's important that prospective students seek out an accredited program.



Reflection:
          I don’t think I would like to be a Acupuncturist because I personally don’t like needles so I wouldn’t like to work around them or put them on people.

Reflection;

 Ezra T. Benson is trying to say that it maybe feel right at the moment but, then you’ll soon regret it all and feel horrible for doing something wrong. If you do something that’s good you’ll never forget it and be proud but if you do something wrong you will never forget and it will make you regret ever doing it.  

Acupressure


Duties and Responsibilities:

                 Acupuncturists are alternative healthcare professionals who are trained to treat illnesses through inserting needles at certain points of body. Acupuncture is an important part of Traditional Chinese Medicine that also has other necessary segments for providing a complete treatment to patients. Qi Gong is the movement exercise whereas Tui Na includes Chinese Physiotherapy, herbal prescription is also vital and finally the application of heat to the main points of the body. Along with all these treatments acupuncture is prescribed to patients which enables energies to sustain their flow within the human internal system. As an acupuncturist, professionals have to perform certain duties on daily basis.

Salary:                                                          

 $35,970 by year

Education:

Certificate and associate's degree programs provide classroom instruction, as well as hands-on workshops where students apply their acupressure knowledge. Two of the leading, nationally accredited agencies for training in acupressure include the American Organization for Bodywork Therapies of Asia (AOBTA) and the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Accredited formal education programs prepare students for state licensing exams.



 
Reflection:

          I don’t think I want to work as Acupressure, I find this job to be really boring because its just trying to make people relax for a hour or so. Also your required to touch random people and I don’t want to do that.

                                 Ophthalmologist

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ophthalmologists are physicians who specialize in the treatment of the eye disorders and diseases. They treat vision problems and write prescriptions for both pharmaceuticals and corrective eyeglass lenses. When necessary, they perform eye surgery. Most ophthalmologists are in private practice, however some are employed by hospitals or clinics, and other preform research.

Average Salary: $90,000-$150,000

Educational Requirements:

Only physicians may study to become ophthalmologist. After completing medical school and an internship, an ophthalmologist must then complete a three to five year residency in an approved ophthalmologist program. After completing a three year residency program they must pass an examination to be certified.

   


I do not think I would like to be an Ophthalmologist. I don’t want to be one because it don’t find it to be interesting, also I am not comfortable with doing surgery’s on a human eyeball.
