Presidents’
Day is an American holiday celebrated on the third Monday in February. It was
first started in 1885 for Gorge Washington and it was called Washington
Birthday and it was celebrated February 22. Until it was changed in 1971 and
was renamed Presidents Day. The purpose of president’s day is to celebrate all
presidents past and present. Some ways we celebrate it is by honoring the
presidents or having a celebration in their honor.
