When you Tell One Lie it leads to
Another
Paul Hitch
When you
tell one lie, it leads to another So
you lie and lie without even trying
So you tell
two lies to cover the other And each lie you tell will keep multiplying
Then you tell
three lies and, Oh Brother, ‘Till the whole wide
world will know you’re lying
You’re in trouble
up to your ears! Then you’ll be
So you tell
four lies to try to protect you suspected
Then you tell five lies so
folks wont suspect Detected
You Neglected
Then you
tell six lies and you’ll collect Rejected
A life
filled with worries and fears Disliked
‘Cause you
can’t remember how many lies And
you should!
You’ve told When you lie, you’re closing the door
And half of
the things you say aren’t true On everything good
And
sometimes you’ll slip, you’ll trip up
And then
Whatever will
become of you?
